On May 26, 2025, the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), led by Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon, Director General, together with Mr. Sarun Benjanirat, Deputy Director General for Aviation Economic Development, participated in the Canada–Thailand Dialogue: A Pathway to Promote Cooperation in the Aerospace Sector, held at Dusit Thani Hotel, Bangkok.

The dialogue was organized through a collaboration between the Embassy of Canada to Thailand, the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), and Investissement Québec International. Participants included representatives from both Thai and Canadian public and private sectors, such as Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT), the Civil Aviation Training Center, and Burapha University.

The event served as a platform for exchanging policy perspectives and strategic insights on key topics in the aerospace sector, including workforce development, aviation infrastructure, and opportunities for institutional and commercial cooperation. Aero PMD, a Quebec-based company specializing in advanced technical training for the aerospace and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) industries, also presented its approach and capabilities. The company expressed a strong interest in partnering with Thailand to enhance the skills of aviation personnel, support the growth of the MRO sector, and contribute to Thailand’s goal of becoming a regional aviation hub.
