At the Dubai Airshow 2025, one of the world’s largest aviation and aerospace exhibitions held at Dubai World Central, Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon, Director General of CAAT, together with Mr. Chanin Kanhirun, Member of the Civil Aviation Board (CAB) and Advisor to the Board of Commissioners of CAAT, met with Mr. Ludovic Lang, Senior executives from Thales, Senior executives from Thales to explore future cooperation in next-generation aviation technologies.
Thales presented several key solutions, including:
- TopSky and AstraUTM for UTM development and unmanned aircraft traffic management
- AI-driven innovations to enhance air traffic safety and operational efficiency
- Anti-Drone / Counter-UAS technology, featuring multi-sensor capabilities (Radar + EO/IR + RF Detection + Jamming) to safeguard airports and critical national infrastructure
CAAT highlighted priority areas such as:
- Strengthening Thailand’s digital aviation infrastructure
- Integrating AAM/UTM with existing ATM systems
- Advancing the “AAM Sandbox Thailand” initiative to support future aviation innovation
- Exploring national standards and strengthened safety measures for Counter-UAS operations
During the meeting, CAAT also invited Thales to participate as a partner at the ICAO AAM Symposium 2026, which Thailand will proudly host in Bangkok.
