CAAT Director General Welcomes President of Boeing Southeast Asia to Discuss Aviation Safety and Industry Cooperation

30 September 2026, Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), welcomed Mr. Travis J. Sullivan, President of Boeing Southeast Asia, during his visit to Bangkok for an official introductory meeting following his appointment in July, succeeding Ms. Penny Burtt.

During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation between CAAT and Boeing, particularly through the exchange of knowledge and expertise to support the enhancement of aviation safety and the continued development of the aviation industry in response to future changes and growth.

The meeting also built upon the ongoing cooperation between CAAT and Boeing experts. Over the past year, both sides have continued to engage and exchange expertise on matters related to aviation safety, standards, and industry development, contributing to the continued advancement of Thailand’s aviation sector.

As Thailand’s civil aviation authority responsible for the regulation, oversight, promotion, and development of civil aviation, CAAT remains committed to strengthening cooperation with Boeing and the wider aviation industry. CAAT will continue to promote an appropriate balance between maintaining high safety standards and enabling industry development, supporting the sustainable growth of civil aviation in Thailand and across the region.
