On 28 March 2018, Dr. Chula Sukmanop, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) presented the Air Operator’s Certificates to Mr. Stephen Christopher La-west, General Manager of AC Aviation, and Mr. Le-sun Me-sit-sa-kul, Executive Director of VIP Jets, and the executives management of both airlines. The event was presided over Mr. Arkhom Termpittayapaisith, Minister of Transport.
The Director General of CAAT, stated that both airlines, AC Aviation and VIP Jets, are alternative airlines for Thai and foreign traveler, who prefer a private, comfortable and exclusive style of journey. The airlines are suitable for executives since the flight schedules can be arranged for their needs. This type of charter flights stimulates small businesses to cater for businessmen and also the growing economy in Thailand.
CAAT has given out 16 AOC’s for Thai International operators so far this year, including this time. Over the past year, CAAT committed to solving issues, apart from regulating the standards, CAAT has enriched the standard of aviation personnel, the training organisation, training modules, certification processes, aviation personnel, as well as support the aviation related industry such as aircraft maintenance, aircraft parts manufacturing, in order for Thailand to become the hub of aviation and aircraft maintenance in the future and to be internationally recognized.
