Classes of Medical Certificate
Medical Standards: Medical Standards specified by CAAT as the general guidance for AME or SAME designated by CAAT in the consideration of medical certificate issuance for the applicant to be used as supporting documentation in the personnel licensing process conducted by CAAT.
Medical Certificate Issuance Standards shall be in accordance with Appendix General.
1. Class 1 Medical Certificatet; applies to applicants for, and holders of: (1) Airline Transport Pilot Licence – Aeroplane
(2) Airline Transport Pilot Licence – helicopter
(3) Airline Transport Pilot Licence – Powered-lift
(4) Multi-crew Pilot Licence – Aeroplane
(5) Commercial Pilot Licence – Aeroplane
(6) Commercial Pilot Licence – Helicopter
(7) Commercial Pilot Licence – Powered-lift
(8) Commercial Pilot Licence – Airship
(9) Flight Navigator Licence
(10) Flight Engineer Licence
Medical Standards for Class 1 Medical Certificate shall be in accordance with Appendix 1.
2. Class 2 Medical Certificate; applies to applicants for, and holders of:
(1) Private Pilot Licence – Aeroplane
(2) Private Pilot Licence – Helicopter
(3) Private pilot licence – Powered-lift
(4) Private Pilot Licence – Airship
(5) Glider Pilot Licence
(6) Free Balloon Pilot Licence
(7) Student Pilot Licence
Medical Standards for Class 2 Medical Certificate shall be in accordance with Appendix 2.
3. Class 3 Medical Certificate; applies to applicants for, and holders of:
(1) Air Traffic Controller Licence
(2) Student Air Traffic Controller Licence
Medical Standards for Class 3 Medical Certificate shall be in accordance with Appendix 3.
4. Class 4 Medical Certificate; applies to applicants for, and holders of:
(1) Ultralight Pilot Licence
(2) Student Ultralight Pilot License
Medical Standards for Class 4 Medical Certificate shall be in accordance with Appendix 4.
5. Guidance on Medical Assessment Considering Issuance of Medical Certificate shall be in accordance with Appendix 5.
