  Deregistration of Aircraft

Concerned Regulations

Applicability

According to the Requirement of The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand Issue 23, Clause 11, an application for deregistration can be accepted if the applicant is the Certificate of Registration holder.

For an irrevocable deregistration request, the aircraft owner must submit the application form along with an irrevocable deregistration authorisation, described in the intention letter, from the Certificate of Registration holder.

Required Documentation

1. Intention letter

2. Application for Deregistration of Aircraft (CAAT-AIR-FM-CER-CR-206)

3. Certified true copy of the current Certificate of Registration Note: The original Certificate of Registration must be returned within 30 days after deregistration

Applicant Types

Documentation

Personal registration

  • Certified true copy of the Thai identification card

Partnership registration

  • Copy of registrar credentials showing partnership registration and a list of all partners
  • A certified true copy of identification cards for all partners

Limited Partnership

  • Copy of registrar credentials showing limited partnership registration as a juristic person and a list of partners with limited liability and classes of unlimited liability including the amount of capital invested in that partner’s shares
  • A certified true copy of identification cards for all partners with unlimited liability

Company Limited or Public Company Limited

  • Copy of registrar credentials showing corporate registration and list of corporate names
  • Memorandum of Association and published regulations
  • Copy of a list of shareholders showing nationality and amount of shareholding
  • A certified true copy of identification cards for company board

Association

  • Copy of registrar credentials showing association registration
  • Copy of association regulations, approved by CAAT
  • Copy of Thai Identification cards for all association members

Government Agencies or State enterprises)

  • Copy of registrar credentials showing agency registration
  • Copy of the Identification card of Director General

Process

Step

Activities

1

     Applicant submits application package to CAAT by EMPIC or to CAAT office

2

     CAAT officer verifies application and responds to applicant

3

     Applicant checks if more documentation is required. The applicant must submit the additional documentation within 30 days

     CAAT officer prepares documentation for CAAT Management considers deregistering the aircraft

5

     CAAT officer informs importing state and other CAAT related divisions/departments

6

     CAAT officer notifies applicant of result

 

Note :  

    • If an applicant is unable to submit the required documents within 30 days, CAAT will reject the task and return the application package to the applicant

    • The original Certificate of Registration must be returned within 30 days after deregistration

   • Nationality and registration marks must be removed from the aircraft

   • ELT must be decoded or removed from aircraft

   • The applicant who hold Air Operating License must read conditions attached to the license before submit application for deregistration
