On 25 June 2025, The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), led by Director General Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon, participated in the Asian Sky Forum 2025, held from 24–26 June in Bangkok. Organized by Asian Sky Group, a key player in promoting the development of business aviation across the Asia-Pacific region, the forum gathered leading stakeholders from the global aviation industry.
During the event, Air Chief Marshal Manat delivered a keynote address titled “The Land of Smiles – Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Thailand.” The presentation provided an overview of Thailand’s a viation industry, the growing opportunities in business aviation, and the country’s readiness in terms of infrastructure, regulatory framework, and safety standards. He also emphasized CAAT’s role in policy making, regulatory oversight, and innovation promotion to support the sustainable growth of Thailand’s aviation sector.
Following the keynote, Air Chief Marshal Manat joined the “Burning Questions” session—a dynamic panel discussion alongside Mr. Natthapatr Sibunruang, CEO of MJets, moderated by Mr. Jeffrey C. Lowe, Vice Chairman of Asian Sky Group. The session offered participants an in-depth opportunity to ask questions on doing business in Thailand’s aviation sector, including aircraft registration, private jet operations, and future development trends.
CAAT’s active participation in the forum underscored its commitment as a regulatory authority to elevate Thailand’s aviation industry to meet global standards and to drive the nation toward becoming a premier aviation hub in the Asia-Pacific—fostering economic growth, investment, and high-value tourism.
The Asian Sky Forum 2025 brought together executives from airlines, aircraft manufacturers, Aircraft parts manufacturer, and investors worldwide to engage in meaningful discussions on a wide range of topics such as emerging aviation technologies, sustainability, human capital development, and the future of air mobility.
