CAAT Issues Air Navigation Service Certificate to the Royal Thai Navy

On 29 May 2025, Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), together with Ms. Tawika Huayhongthong, Manager of the Air Navigation Services Standards Department (ANS), presented the Air Navigation Service Certificate in the areas of Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance (CNS) systems services. The certificate was received by Admiral Sombat Naraviroj, Director of U-Tapao Airport, at CAAT headquarters.

This certification affirms that the Royal Thai Navy is capable of providing air navigation services in compliance with the regulations and standards set forth for air navigation services. It ensures safety, orderliness, and efficiency, and aligns with the international standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). This marks another significant step in enhancing Thailand’s aviation safety standards and improving the efficiency of air navigation services. It also builds confidence in the aviation industry to support the growing number of flights and the aviation sector. The certification aligns with the U-Tapao Airport and Eastern Aviation City development project, which is one of the key infrastructure initiatives under the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). It also supports the government and Ministry of Transport’s policy to position Thailand as a regional aviation hub.
