September 25, 2025, the Thai delegation, led by Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), held discussions with Mr. Mohamed Alhajri, President of the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, during the 42nd Session of the ICAO Assembly at ICAO Headquarters in Montreal, Canada.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views and reaffirmed the close aviation ties between the two countries. At present, Qatar Airways operates multiple daily flights to Thailand, serving as a key driver in promoting Thailand’s medical tourism by connecting travelers from the Middle East and other regions to access high-quality medical services in Thailand that meet international standards.
CAAT reaffirmed its commitment to leveraging the potential of the aviation industry as a vital tool to support the country’s tourism and healthcare sectors, while also promoting sustainable economic growth in the future.
