The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), represented by officials from the Unmanned Aircraft Standards Division, attended The Sustainable Airport City International Conference and The 1st International Forum on Low-altitude Air Transport to City held from 24–27 September 2025 in Beijing, People’s Republic of China. The conference served as a platform for exchanging information and perspectives on the development of the low-altitude air transport industry, including Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and electric Vertical Take-off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
The forum brought together representatives from Civil Aviation Authorities (CAAs) across Asia, academics, experts, and technology developers to discuss the integration of modern aviation technologies into transportation systems and public services. The discussions emphasized diverse applications such as aerial surveying, photography, cargo and passenger transport, disaster relief, as well as public and national security operations. All participants shared a common goal of advancing low-altitude aviation in line with international standards to ensure efficiency, safety, and sustainable growth.
In addition, CAAT delegates contributed insights on UAS and eVTOL regulatory frameworks and highlighted Thailand’s role as co-host, together with ICAO, of the ICAO Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Symposium 2026, which will be held in Bangkok from 30 November to 4 December 2026.
