CAAT Congratulates Airbus on New Office Opening in Thailand, Strengthening the Nation’s Role as a Regional Aviation Hub

On 23 May 2025, Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), extended his congratulations on the occasion of Airbus officially opening its new office in Thailand. He also emphasized CAAT’s vital role in supporting the growth of the country’s aviation industry and in driving Thailand’s vision to become a regional aviation hub.

Located in Bangkok, the new Airbus office brings together more than 200 specialists from 17 countries, covering commercial aircraft, helicopters, defense and space. It also houses the newly established “Airbus Operations Excellence Center,” aimed at enhancing services in Thailand and across the Asia-Pacific region.

CAAT views Airbus’ decision to expand its presence in Thailand as a significant milestone that reflects global confidence in the country’s economic potential, strategic geographical location, and highly skilled workforce. The authority reaffirmed its commitment to fostering robust public-private partnerships and promoting the comprehensive development of Thailand’s aviation sector.

“The establishment of Airbus’ regional office in Thailand not only reaffirms the nation’s position in the global aviation landscape but also serves as a powerful catalyst in propelling Thailand towards becoming a leading aviation hub in the near future,” said Air Chief Marshal Manat.
