CAAT met with 24 AOC Holders to Brief on Aviation Safety Oversight Policies and Guidelines

On February 18, 2025, the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) invited 24 airlines holding an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) to a meeting to brief on policies and guidelines related to aviation safety oversight standards. Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon presided over the meeting.

Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon communicated policies to airline representatives, emphasizing that safety cannot be compromised. He urged airlines to oversee the implementation of work standards within their organizations and ensure compliance with established regulations. He also requested that each airline exchange and assist each other (shared assets) in aircraft maintenance for the highest level of aviation safety. CAAT is willing to help and jointly solve problems to ensure that businesses can operate safely and efficiently (facilitator). He also highlighted the promotion of Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) project in Thailand.

During the meeting, CAAT presented information on Thailand’s preparation for international audits by both the FAA and ICAO, safety trend analysis, and aircraft maintenance standards in Thailand. The meeting also provided a platform for exchanging views, where airline representatives raised issues and offered suggestions. CAAT and the airlines agreed to collaborate to further develop safety standards in Thailand.
