October 28, 2025, Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), together with Mr. Khajornphat Maklin, Deputy Director General of CAAT, warmly welcomed Mr. Tom White, General Manager for Asia-Pacific of Archer Aviation, on the occasion of his courtesy visit to officially introduce himself upon assuming his new position.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on trends and directions in the development of advanced aviation technologies, particularly in the area of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, as well as the promotion of the electric aviation ecosystem in the Asia-Pacific region. These initiatives are in line with CAAT’s policy to foster the development of future aviation technologies.
Both sides also recognized the importance of strengthening collaboration between the public and private sectors to drive the sustainable growth of the aviation industry. Archer also took note of Thailand’s role as the host of The Second Advanced Air Mobility Symposium (AAM 2026), to be held on 30 November – 4 December 2026 and expressed its willingness to continue close cooperation in this regard.
