February 2, 2026, Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), met with Mr. Bryan Bedford, Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) of the United States, together with Ms. Penny Burrt, President of Boeing’s Southeast Asia business, during the Changi Aviation Summit held in the Republic of Singapore.
The discussion served as an opportunity for introductions and mutual acquaintance, as well as an exchange of views on promoting civil aviation cooperation between Thailand and the United States. Discussions covered aviation safety standards, the promotion and development of aviation human resource capacity, and cooperation to support the future development of the aviation industry.
Thailand emphasized its strong commitment to enhancing civil aviation standards in line with international practices, as well as its readiness to strengthen close cooperation with the FAA and the U.S. aviation industry. Such collaboration aims to support the sustainable and safe growth of the aviation industry at both regional and global levels.
This represents another important step in strengthening aviation relations and cooperation between Thailand and the United States, contributing to the long-term development of civil aviation systems and the aviation industries of both countries.
