CAAT and Boeing Strengthen Cooperation on Aviation Safety and Regulatory Development

On 30 March 2026, the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) and Boeing convened a joint meeting to enhance cooperation on aviation safety and regulatory development. The engagement comprised the CAAT-Boeing Safety & Regulatory Meeting and a meeting on “Emerging Technologies & Upcoming Mandates.”

The CAAT-Boeing Safety & Regulatory Meeting was held as a bilateral discussion, chaired by Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon, Director General of CAAT. Both parties exchanged updates on their respective plans and strategic priorities for 2026, and explored potential areas for future collaboration. Boeing reaffirmed its readiness to support CAAT in areas including capacity building, safety oversight, and the adoption of advanced technologies within Thailand’s aviation sector.

Boeing also conducted a session on “Emerging Technologies & Upcoming Mandates,” presenting insights into new aviation technologies, emerging regulatory trends, and aircraft and equipment readiness. The session aimed to support CAAT in effective regulatory planning and oversight. Key topics included runway safety and risks related to signal interference, such as 5G and the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS).

This engagement reflects the strong partnership and continued collaboration between CAAT and Boeing in advancing aviation safety standards and supporting the sustainable growth of Thailand’s aviation industry.
