CAAT Welcomes Archer Aviation Executives to Discuss Future Air Mobility Cooperation

On 17 April 2026, Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), together with Mr. Kajornpat Maklin, Deputy Director General for Safety Oversight, welcomed Mr. Tom White, General Manager, Asia-Pacific, and Mr. Rodolphe Borde from Archer Aviation to discuss potential areas of cooperation in Thailand’s air transport sector.

The meeting focused on possible collaboration with airlines in Thailand to support the development of future air transport services, as well as the exchange of information on emerging aviation technologies and potential cooperation opportunities that may contribute to the long-term development of Thailand’s aviation industry.

During the discussion, Archer Aviation presented its approach to future air transport solutions and expressed its interest in participating in the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) 2026 event, which will be hosted in Thailand later this year by the International Civil Aviation Organization.

The discussion also reflects CAAT’s ongoing efforts to monitor developments in emerging aviation technologies and to prepare the appropriate regulatory framework to support future aviation innovation under international safety standards.
