CAAT Shares ICAO USOAP CMA Audit Experience with CAAP

May 8, 2026, the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), led by Mr. Kajornpat Maklin, Deputy Director General for Safety Oversight and Thailand’s National Continuous Monitoring Coordinator (NCMC), together with representatives from relevant Departments and Offices, participated in a virtual meeting to share experiences and guidance on preparations for the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)’s Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme Continuous Monitoring Approach (USOAP CMA) audit with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).

CAAP, which is scheduled to undergo the USOAP CMA audit from 2 to 15 September 2026, requested advice on audit preparations, information and documentation management, as well as the conduct of activities during the audit process. During the meeting, CAAT shared its experiences, best practices, and recommendations drawn from previous audit activities to support CAAP’s preparation efforts and enhance the effectiveness of its audit readiness.

The exchange reflects the strong cooperation among civil aviation authorities in the Asia and Pacific region, as well as Thailand’s continued role in supporting the enhancement of civil aviation safety oversight in accordance with ICAO international standards.
