The meeting took place during the 42nd Session of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Assembly, held at ICAO Headquarters in Montreal, Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large is-resized is-style-caat-image-radius\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1216\" height=\"912\" src=\"https:\/\/www.caat.or.th\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/554103001_1239683341534826_8387994530663289916_n-1216x912.jpg\" alt=\"554103001 1239683341534826 8387994530663289916 n\" class=\"wp-image-172600\" style=\"width:764px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.caat.or.th\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/554103001_1239683341534826_8387994530663289916_n-1216x912.jpg 1216w, https:\/\/www.caat.or.th\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/554103001_1239683341534826_8387994530663289916_n-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.caat.or.th\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/554103001_1239683341534826_8387994530663289916_n-1081x811.jpg 1081w, https:\/\/www.caat.or.th\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/554103001_1239683341534826_8387994530663289916_n.jpg 1477w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1216px) 100vw, 1216px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This discussion initiated civil aviation cooperation between Thailand and countries in Africa. The African delegation recognized Thailand as a leader in regional aviation and expressed interest in future cooperation on various matters, including safety, security, air transport, the environment, and enhancing the capabilities of inspectors from both sides, as well as the potential for promoting tourism between the two regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thailand also used this meeting with the AFCAC group to request support for its candidacy for a seat on the Council of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) for the 2026-2027 term, in Category C and received positive response.
