The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Chayatan Phromsorn, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, Commissioners, and Mr. Suttipong Kongpool, the current Director of CAAT, who both extended their congratulations. Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon will officially take office on February 17, 2025, becoming the fourth Director General of CAAT since its establishment in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; The nomination and remuneration process for the CAAT Director General began with the announcement of applications on November 8, 2024. Candidates participated in interviews and presented their vision on December 23, 2024. Subsequently, on December 24, 2024, the CAAT Supervisory Board approved the selection of Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon for the position, as recommended by the Nomination and Remuneration Subcommittee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon was born on October 11, 1964. He has held various key positions, including Chairman of the Royal Thai Air Force Advisory Board, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Royal Thai Air Force, Director of Intelligence RTAF, Thai Defense Attach\u00e9 to Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Oslo, Wing Commander of Wing 7 (Gripen), and Squadron Commander of Squadron 102 (F-16 ADF).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Additionally, he has served as Chairman of the Auditor Committee of Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT), an Independent Director on the AOT Board of Committee, Head of Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer Group responsible for preparing Suvarnabhumi Airport for the opening of its 3rd runway, and a distinguished member of the Board of Directors of the Civil Aviation Training Center (CATC). He has also been an advisor to the Chairman of the CAAT Supervisory Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Regarding his education, Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon graduated from Vajiravudh College, Pre-Cadet School, Royal Thai Air Force Academy, He furthered his studies at the Air Command and Staff College and the National Defence College (Class 62).
