{"id":175078,"date":"2025-10-01T08:43:59","date_gmt":"2025-10-01T01:43:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.caat.or.th\/?post_type=caat_media&#038;p=175078"},"modified":"2025-10-08T08:45:59","modified_gmt":"2025-10-08T01:45:59","slug":"175078","status":"publish","type":"caat_media","link":"https:\/\/www.caat.or.th\/en\/caat-media\/175078\/","title":{"rendered":"CAAT Director General highlighted the Royal vision and contribution of the Thai Monarchy in the field of aviation at the ICAO Assembly"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>September 30, 2025, Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), delivered a statement as the Chief Delegate of the Thai Delegation at the 42nd Session of the ICAO Assembly, held from 23 September to 3 October 2025 at the ICAO Headquarters in Montreal, Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his address to representatives from over 190 States, Air Chief Marshal Manat highlighted the Royal vision and contribution of the Thai Monarchy in initiating aviation in Thailand, noting in particular the foresight of King Rama VI, and emphasized that this legacy remains a cornerstone of Thai aviation safety and security to this day, under the continued guidance of His Majesty King Rama X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thailand also presented its recent aviation achievements, including the restoration to FAA Category I, above-average scores in ICAO\u2019s Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme (USOAP-CMA), and preparations to host the Second Advanced Air Mobility Symposium (AAM 2026) in Bangkok, Thailand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, it highlighted the potential of Thai airport operator (AOT) in developing the country\u2019s main airport to enhance air travel capacity, the capabilities of the air navigation service provider (Aerothai) in promoting the adoption of air navigation development with modern technology to improve efficiency and air traffic safety, and the potential of the training organization (CATC) in developing Thailand\u2019s aviation personnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These developments underscore Thailand\u2019s role as a regional aviation hub and as an active ICAO Member State contributing to the sustainable growth of global civil aviation.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"hero-carousel-with-thumbnail-navigation wp-block-meta-box-hero-carousel-with-thumbnail-navigation\" id=\"mb-block-fa673cb7-0fda-4198-ac7d-a4216db45278\">\n\t\t\t\t<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Hero Carousel With Thumbnail Navigation.
