The audit aims to assess Thailand\u2019s effectiveness in implementing ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) related to aviation security (AVSEC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to the official opening session, the participants paid tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother in remembrance of Her Majesty\u2019s boundless grace and benevolence.<br>The opening remarks were then delivered by Mr. Callum Lewis Vine, the Head of the ICAO Audit Team, who officially commenced the audit. The audit team is comprised of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mr. Callum Lewis Vine \u2013 Regulatory Framework and the National Civil Aviation Security System, Quality Control Functions, and Security Aspects of Facilitation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. Mohamed Faizal Bin Parman \u2013 Training of Aviation Security Personnel and Response to Acts of Unlawful Interference<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. Mohammed Alamgir \u2013 Airport Operations, Passenger and Baggage Security<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mr. Derek Cheang \u2013 Aircraft and In-flight Security, Cargo, Catering and Mail Security<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The audit involves participation and cooperation from elevant Thai agencies, including the Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT), Royal Thai Police, Immigration Bureau, the Thai Customs Department, Department of Consular Affairs, National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), Aeronautical Radio of Thailand Limited (AEROTHAI), and the airlines selected for assessment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand, stated: \u201cCAAT places the highest importance on maintaining robust standards of aviation safety and security, which form the foundation of the global aviation system. This ICAO USAP audit serves as an excellent opportunity to reaffirm Thailand\u2019s strong, transparent, and internationally compliant aviation security oversight system.
