The workshop was presided over by Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon, Director General of CAAT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop aimed to support Thailand\u2019s aviation industry in transitioning from traditional Content-Based Training to Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA), in alignment with the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO). This approach emphasizes practical performance capabilities and systematic competency assessment of aviation personnel to ensure greater training effectiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his opening remarks, the Director General of CAAT highlighted the importance of human resource development in the aviation sector. He emphasized that the successful implementation of CBTA requires close collaboration among the regulator, training organisations, and industry stakeholders to ensure effective outcomes aligned with Thailand\u2019s operational context.<br>The workshop featured expert instructors from Boeing Global Services, including Michelle Crawford \u2013 Director Early Career, Kirk Quong Sing \u2013 Regional Director Business Development, Larry Lambdin \u2013 Senior Manager, Maintenance Training, and Captain Paul \u201cNick\u201d Munns \u2013 Senior Boeing CBTA Instructor. The sessions focused on interactive and practical learning, combining lectures, technical demonstrations, and participant engagement activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Key topics covered during the workshop included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Introduction to CBTA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CBTA Competencies Overview<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Instructor Competencies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CBTA Assessment Demonstration and Competency Viewer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, CAAT presented draft CBTA regulatory requirements and implementation guidelines to assist flight training organisations in preparing for future adoption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This workshop marks another significant milestone for CAAT and the aviation industry in advancing Thailand\u2019s aviation personnel training standards to meet international benchmarks, while reinforcing long-term aviation safety and sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"hero-carousel-with-thumbnail-navigation wp-block-meta-box-hero-carousel-with-thumbnail-navigation\" id=\"mb-block-0e48aec6-b2e0-4e6a-8cb5-4be6d04c6444\">\n\t\t\t\t<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Hero Carousel With Thumbnail Navigation.
