On 1 September 2026, Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), presided over a ceremony to present a Domestic Repair Station Certificate \u2013 Class III to Summit Lenso Co., Ltd. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Korakrit Chulangkoon and Mr. Tatiya Meemeskul, executives of Summit Lenso, along with representatives from government agencies, the private sector, airlines, aviation operators, and business partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The certification demonstrates that Summit Lenso has successfully completed CAAT\u2019s assessment process and has met the applicable criteria and requirements for an aircraft maintenance organization. The assessment covers key areas including quality systems, operational procedures, qualified personnel, tools, and equipment, ensuring that aircraft maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with applicable airworthiness and safety standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Summit Lenso is engaged in the manufacturing of aircraft parts, maintenance of aircraft components and equipment, as well as engineering services. The company plans to further expand its Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) capabilities, invest in advanced manufacturing technologies, and develop skilled personnel to enhance its capacity to meet the growing demands of the aviation industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CAAT places strong emphasis on maintaining effective regulatory oversight of aircraft maintenance standards while supporting the development of domestic aviation industry capabilities. The availability of capable maintenance organizations operating in compliance with established standards is a key component of the aviation ecosystem, helping strengthen Thailand\u2019s MRO capabilities and support the continued growth of the country\u2019s aviation sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
CAAT will continue to oversee aircraft maintenance organizations to ensure ongoing compliance with safety and airworthiness requirements, while supporting the development of Thailand\u2019s domestic aviation industry, particularly its MRO capabilities, to accommodate the growth of the aviation sector and related industries. These efforts will contribute to enhancing Thailand\u2019s competitiveness and advancing the country\u2019s position as a regional aviation and MRO hub. This direction is aligned with the Minister of Transport\u2019s \u201cMOT New Chapter\u201d policy, which aims to integrate the development of an efficient air transport system with the advancement of infrastructure, industry, and the national economy. CAAT will also continue to promote aircraft maintenance standards in line with international standards, supporting the sustainable growth of Thailand\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n\n\n
