{"id":174222,"date":"2025-10-02T15:33:55","date_gmt":"2025-10-02T08:33:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.caat.or.th\/?page_id=174222"},"modified":"2025-10-02T15:33:56","modified_gmt":"2025-10-02T08:33:56","slug":"classes-of-medical-certificate","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.caat.or.th\/en\/aviation\/aeromediacal\/classes-of-medical-certificate\/","title":{"rendered":"Classes of Medical Certificate"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center is-style-caat-heading-underline\">Classes of Medical Certificate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Classes of Medical Certificate<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Medical Standards:<\/strong>&nbsp;Medical Standards specified by CAAT as the general guidance for AME or SAME designated by CAAT in the consideration of medical certificate issuance for the applicant to be used as supporting documentation in the personnel licensing process conducted by CAAT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Medical Certificate Issuance Standards shall be in accordance with&nbsp;Appendix General.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1.\u00a0Class 1 Medical Certificatet;<\/strong>\u00a0applies to applicants for, and holders of:\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <br>    (1) Airline Transport Pilot Licence \u2013 Aeroplane<br>\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0(2) Airline Transport Pilot Licence \u2013 helicopter<br>\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0(3) Airline Transport Pilot Licence \u2013 Powered-lift<br>\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0(4) Multi-crew Pilot Licence \u2013 Aeroplane<br>\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0(5) Commercial Pilot Licence \u2013 Aeroplane<br>\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0(6) Commercial Pilot Licence \u2013 Helicopter<br>\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0(7) Commercial Pilot Licence \u2013 Powered-lift<br>\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0(8) Commercial Pilot Licence \u2013 Airship<br>\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0(9) Flight Navigator Licence<br>\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0(10) Flight Engineer Licence<br>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Medical Standards for Class 1 Medical Certificate shall be in accordance with Appendix 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.&nbsp;Class 2 Medical Certificate;<\/strong>&nbsp;applies to applicants for, and holders of:<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;(1) Private Pilot Licence \u2013 Aeroplane<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;(2) Private Pilot Licence \u2013 Helicopter<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;(3) Private pilot licence \u2013 Powered-lift<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;(4) Private Pilot Licence \u2013 Airship<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;(5) Glider Pilot Licence<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;(6) Free Balloon Pilot Licence<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;(7) Student Pilot Licence<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Medical Standards for Class 2 Medical Certificate shall be in accordance with Appendix 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3.&nbsp;Class 3 Medical Certificate;<\/strong>&nbsp;applies to applicants for, and holders of:<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;(1) Air Traffic Controller Licence<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;(2) Student Air Traffic Controller Licence<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Medical Standards for Class 3 Medical Certificate shall be in accordance with Appendix 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4.&nbsp;Class 4 Medical Certificate;<\/strong>&nbsp;applies to applicants for, and holders of:<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;(1) Ultralight Pilot Licence<br>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;(2) Student Ultralight Pilot License<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Medical Standards for Class 4 Medical Certificate shall be in accordance with Appendix 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5.&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>Guidance on Medical Assessment Considering Issuance of Medical Certificate<\/strong>&nbsp;shall be in accordance with Appendix 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note :&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/old-www.caat.or.th\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/NCAAT-Medical-Standard-or-Medical-Assessment-No.2-B.E.2565-2022.pdf\">Notification of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand \u2013 Medical standard or Medical assessment (No.2) B.E. 2565 (2022)<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Classes of Medical Certificate Classes of Medical Certificate Medical Standards:&nbsp;Medical Standards specified by CAAT as the general guidance for AME or SAME designated by CAAT in the consideration of medical certificate issuance for the applicant to be used as supporting documentation in the personnel licensing process conducted by CAAT.
