{"id":198300,"date":"2025-03-03T10:34:47","date_gmt":"2025-03-03T03:34:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.caat.or.th\/?page_id=198300"},"modified":"2026-02-24T15:42:34","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T08:42:34","slug":"frequently-asked-questions-faqs","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.caat.or.th\/en\/certificates-licenses\/repair-unit\/frequently-asked-questions-faqs\/","title":{"rendered":"Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center is-style-caat-heading-underline\">Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading is-style-caat-heading-underline\">Repair Station\/AMO Frequently Ask Questions (FAQs)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary>TCAR 8 Part 145 Line Maintenance Scope<\/summary>\n<p>Refer TCAR 8 Part 145, AMC1 145.A.10, Line Maintenance should be understood as any maintenance that is carried out before flight to ensure that the aircraft is fit for the intended flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(a) Line Maintenance may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Troubleshooting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Defect rectification.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Component replacement with the use of external test equipment, if required. Component replacement may include components such as engines and propellers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scheduled maintenance and\/or checks, including visual inspections that will detect obvious unsatisfactory conditions\/discrepancies but do not require extensive in-depth inspections. It may also include the internal structure, systems and powerplant items which are visible through quick-opening access panels\/doors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minor repairs and modifications which do not require extensive disassembly, and can be accomplished by simple means.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>(b) For temporary or occasional cases (AD&#8217;s, SB&#8217;s) the Compliance Monitoring Manager may accept base maintenance tasks to be performed by a line maintenance organisation subject to a risk assessment and provided all requirements are fulfilled as defined by the CAAT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(c) Maintenance tasks that fall outside these criteria are considered to be Base Maintenance tasks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(d) Aircraft that are maintained in accordance with \u2018progressive\u2019 type programmes should be individually assessed in relation to this paragraph.
