By virtue of Section 15/14, Section 39, Section 41/90, Section 41/91 and Section 44 of the Air Navigation Act BE 2497, as amended, the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand shall have the power to grant exemption for non-compliance with laws and regulations relating to civil aviation to persons, aircraft, aerodrome, products or any aviation-related services on a case-by-case basis. The said exemption must not affect safety or security and is for the benefit of civil aviation of the country and public benefits. Therefore, in order to set up the principles and processes for considering exemptions that must be reviewed of risk assessment, analyses or aeronautical studies on the subject to grant an exemption, as well as determining to impose any limitations or conditions that are necessary, including recording and publication of exemption granted.
