เมื่อวันที่ 7 สิงหาคม 2567 นายขจรพัฒน์ มากลิ่น รองผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานการบินพลเรือนแห่งประเทศไทย และคณะผู้แทน CAAT ให้การต้อนรับคณะเจ้าหน้าที่รัฐสภาสหรัฐอเมริกา นำโดย Ms.Sonali Desai Executive Director, House Democratic Caucus และเจ้าหน้าที่กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ ณ ห้องประชุมสระปทุม สำนักงานการบินพลเรือนแห่งประเทศไทย โดย CAAT มีจัดการบรรยายเกี่ยวกับการพัฒนาศักยภาพด้านอุตสาหกรรมการบินของประเทศไทย
เนื้อหาการบรรยาย ได้แก่ เรื่องวิสัยทัศน์ “Ignite Thailand” ของรัฐบาล กลยุทธ์และแผนการพัฒนาของรัฐบาลไทยเพื่อยกระดับอุตสาหกรรมการบินให้เป็นศูนย์กลางที่สำคัญในระดับภูมิภาค เรื่องการพัฒนามาตรฐานด้านการบินของไทยตามข้อแนะนำขององค์การบริหารการบินแห่งสหรัฐฯ (FAA) ซึ่งมีความคืบหน้าในการปรับปรุงมาตรฐานการบินของไทยให้สอดคล้องกับมาตรฐานสากล และเรื่องความคืบหน้าโครงการความร่วมมือระหว่าง CAAT กับสำนักงานส่งเสริมการค้าและการพัฒนาแห่งสหรัฐอเมริกา (USTDA) โดยนำเสนอความก้าวหน้าในโครงการความร่วมมือที่มุ่งพัฒนาศักยภาพด้านการบินของไทยผ่านการสนับสนุนและความร่วมมือจาก USTDA
การบรรยายและเยี่ยมชมดังกล่าว ได้สร้างความเข้าใจที่ดีเกี่ยวกับความมุ่งมั่นของประเทศไทยในการพัฒนาศักยภาพด้านการบิน รวมถึงการดำเนินการที่เป็นไปตามมาตรฐานสากลและความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศ ซึ่งจะช่วยเสริมสร้างความเชื่อมั่นในระบบการบินของประเทศไทยต่อไป

United States Congressional Staff Attends Aviation Briefing and Visits CAAT Operations
On August 7, 2024, a briefing on Thailand’s aviation industry development was held in the Srapathum Conference Room at the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT). The session was led by Mr. Kajonpat Maklin, Deputy Director, and Ms. Sonali Desai, Executive Director of the House Democratic Caucus, with the attendance of representatives from CAAT, U.S. congressional staff, and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The briefing covered the following topics:
Ignite Thailand Vision of the Government: This segment focused on the Thai government’s strategies and development plans to elevate Thailand’s aviation industry, aiming to establish it as a key regional hub.
Enhancement of Thailand’s Aviation Standards According to FAA Recommendations: Progress in aligning Thailand’s aviation standards with international benchmarks was discussed, emphasizing adherence to recommendations from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Progress of the CAAT and USTDA Collaboration Projects: The presentation highlighted the advancements in collaborative projects between CAAT and the United States Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), aimed at enhancing Thailand’s aviation capabilities through support and cooperation from USTDA.
The briefing and subsequent tour facilitated a deeper understanding of Thailand’s commitment to advancing its aviation industry. It underscored the nation’s efforts to meet international standards and foster international cooperation, thereby enhancing confidence in Thailand’s aviation system.
