เมื่อวันที่ 16 พฤษภาคมที่ผ่านมา พลอากาศเอก มนัท ชวนะประยูร ผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานการบินพลเรือนแห่งประเทศไทย (CAAT) ได้เข้าร่วมการประชุมหารือความร่วมมือกับองค์กร 47G — Utah Aerospace & Defense Organization ซึ่งเป็นองค์กรไม่แสวงหากำไรที่มีบทบาทสำคัญในการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมด้านอวกาศ การป้องกันประเทศ และความมั่นคงทางไซเบอร์ ตลอดจนการส่งเสริมระบบนิเวศเทคโนโลยีระดับโลกให้เกิดความยั่งยืน ณ รัฐยูทาห์ สหรัฐอเมริกา
ในการหารือครั้งนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนวิสัยทัศน์และแนวทางความร่วมมือในหลากหลายมิติ อาทิ เทคโนโลยีการบินขั้นสูง (Advanced Air Mobility – AAM), การพัฒนาและเสริมสร้างศักยภาพของศูนย์ซ่อมบำรุงอากาศยาน (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul – MRO), การส่งเสริมการใช้เชื้อเพลิงการบินที่ยั่งยืน (Sustainable Aviation Fuel – SAF) และการพิจารณาความเป็นไปได้ในการเปิดเส้นทางบินตรงระหว่างไทยและรัฐยูทาห์ในอนาคต
นอกจากนี้ ยังได้มีการหารือถึงแนวทางการสร้างความร่วมมือระหว่างภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน และสถาบันการศึกษา เพื่อวางรากฐานระบบนิเวศด้านเทคโนโลยีขั้นสูงในอุตสาหกรรมการบินของไทย ให้สามารถเติบโตอย่างเข้มแข็งและยั่งยืนในระยะยาว
การประชุมครั้งนี้ได้รับเกียรติจาก Mr. Aaron Starks ประธานและประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร (CEO) ขององค์กร 47G พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้บริหารระดับสูง เข้าร่วมการหารือ และยังได้รับเกียรติจาก Mr. Wayne Harper วุฒิสมาชิกและประธานกรรมาธิการด้านการขนส่งสหรัฐฯ เข้าร่วมประชุมและให้ข้อเสนอแนะอันเป็นประโยชน์อย่างยิ่ง
การประชุมครั้งสำคัญนี้สะท้อนถึงบทบาทเชิงรุกของ CAAT ในการผลักดันอุตสาหกรรมการบินของประเทศไทยให้ก้าวทันการเปลี่ยนแปลงของเทคโนโลยีโลก พร้อมเสริมสร้างเครือข่ายความร่วมมือระดับนานาชาติ เพื่อยกระดับมาตรฐานและศักยภาพของประเทศไทยในฐานะศูนย์กลางทางการบินของภูมิภาค

On May 16, Air Chief Marshal Manat Chavanaprayoon, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT), participated in a high-level meeting with 47G – Utah Aerospace & Defense Organization, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the aerospace, defense, and cybersecurity industries, while promoting a sustainable global tech ecosystem. The meeting took place in Utah, United States.
During the discussions, both parties exchanged insights and explored avenues for collaboration across several key areas, including Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), the development and enhancement of Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) capabilities, the promotion of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), and the potential establishment of a direct (non-stop) flight route between Thailand and Utah in the future.
The meeting also addressed strategies to foster collaboration among the public sector, private enterprises, and academic institutions to lay the foundation for a robust and sustainable high-tech aviation ecosystem in Thailand.
The session was honored by the participation of Mr. Aaron Starks, President and CEO of 47G, along with other senior executives. It was further enriched by the presence of Mr. Wayne Harper, U.S. Senator and Chairman of the Transportation Commission, who provided valuable insights and recommendations.
